If you are asked to opt in to eBay business policies, you probably haven't listed an item for sale in the past 90 days or your policies need an update.
What are eBay Business Policies?
As eBay's article explains, "business policies are the payment, shipping, and return details you specify for buyers in your listings". There are three types of policies you can set:
- Payment policies: where you specify how buyers can pay you (e.g. through PayPal)
- Shipping policies: where you specify your dispatch time, the delivery services you offer, and shipping costs
- Return policies: where you specify whether or not you accept returns
